President's Day Diary

Asia and I had a pretty hectic President's Day. We spent it doing fittings, running downtown, adjusting the collection, talking to buyers, and planning our F/W 2012 Launch Party...

We started the morning off at our studio in West Hollywood. Nearly all of the pieces in our new collection were complete. Only a few items needed at touch up. We drew, cut, and pinned one of our sample dresses in order to make sure it turned out as we envisioned. Everything looked amazing. We then headed downtown to pick up some more new merchandise. Our screen printing and sewing team downtown are really fantastic. We were able to get our new shirts and price out most of the collection. Everyone down there is so helpful and hardworking, we've got a really great team.

We drove around looking for a huge party supply store and ended up in Little Tokyo. We decided to stop for red bean cakes and to check out a few stores. There's this one boutique that we really want to get our new collection into. Unfortunately the buyer wasn't in so we moved on and went to get some food. But our red bean cake bakery wasn't open either! We starved....

Our last stop of the day was to find balloons, ribbon, and center pieces for our launch party. We ended up in a party supply warehouse with tons of junk everywhere. it was actually really cool and super cheap! We bought everything we needed and were on our way. It was an eventful day, so much going on yet so fun!
